The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) was formed when 10 major hospitals in the greater Charlotte, N.C., region came together to establish an independent blood bank. Established as the direct competition to the American Red Cross, CBCC was positioned against a strong brand from its inception. The brand and graphic identity for this new entity needed to be on par with the Red Cross when introduced into the marketplace. The initial project scope included the logo mark, print collateral, outdoor and print advertising.
More than twelve years into its existence, CBCC has a strong, well-respected brand that’s recognized throughout Charlotte and its surrounding communities.
